Nuchal Translucency scan(11 to 14 Weeks )

At your 11-14 week pregnancy milestone, a nuchal scan is the perfect time to date your pregnancy and provide you with an estimated due date (EDD). We will also conduct basic anatomical checks to ensure everything's in its right place. While most babies normally develop this far along, we understand some can be at risk of chromosomal defects. The Combined Test can help you determine if that's the case, which is non-invasive and only requires us to measure your baby's length (CRL), their fluid pocket on their neck, as well as take a sample of your blood for two hormones (Betta HCG and PAPPA). Once all those pieces are together, our laboratory will generate an estimation of whether the baby may suffer from Down Syndrome T21, Patau Syndrome T13, or Edwards Syndrome T18.

With these results, you can then make an educated decision on how to proceed going forward.

The primary use of a Nuchal Scan is to:

1) Date the pregnancy

2) Identify multiple pregnancies

3) Detect and diagnose major defects

4) Diagnose possible miscarriage

5) Calculate risk levels of chromosomal abnormalities.
